Abstract:

To provide a new printer for multi-color printing which is low-cost and compact.

This printer is structured of four printing plates 5 applied to the outer peripheral face of a central plate cylinder 1 of a four-color printer, and four rubber blanket cylinders 3 arranged, in a satellite fashion, on the periphery of each of the four rubber blanket cylinders 3 and an inking device 7 and a dampening device 9 attached to each of the rubber blanket cylinders 3. The rubber blanket cylinder 3, the inking device 7 and the dampening device 9 appropriately come into contact with the printing plate 5 each time the plate cylinder 1 rotates and again retreats. A conveying belt 13 which is statically charged and conveys sheets, works as an impression cylinder, while the belt has its length adjusted by an adjusting roller 15. The plate cylinder 1 has an imaging unit 12 attached thereto.
