This printer comprises various motors such as a CR motor 4 for driving a carriage (a driven body), a PF motor 5 for conveying a printing paper sheet or the like (a driven body) and the like, the solenoid 56, and first to third integrated circuits 79-81 having a plurality of motor drive circuits 83 for controlling the driving of motors. In the printer, the solenoid 56 is controlled to be driven by the motor drive circuit 83.
