Abstract:

To provide a printer in which a paper discharge roller is reduced in speed at a proper timing.

This printer comprises: a first paper discharge roller 411 and a second discharge roller 412 for guiding paper into a paper discharge hole 140; an upper surface conveying roller 401 for guiding the paper to the first paper discharge roller 411; a driving control part 302 for determining a conveying speed; and an upper surface discharge drive part 270 for driving both paper discharge rollers at a determined conveying speed until the conveying of the paper by the upper surface conveying roller 401 is completed, and for driving both paper discharge rollers at a separately determined paper discharge speed until the discharge of the paper by the second paper discharge roller 412 is completed.
