To obtain an equivalent compressibility, without changing a printer of performing optical regulation and a compression method thereof, in the printer correcting bending and inclination amounts of a sub-scanning direction, without performing the optical regulation.
A parameter of compression is calculated based on data with the corrected bending and inclination amounts at the time point when detecting changes of the bending and inclination amounts.
