When a timer value T defined as the elapsed time since the ink cartridge 32 loaded in a printer body is a threshold Tref or more, a warning screen is displayed to reload the ink cartridge 32 after once removing it and sufficiently shaking it, and the timer value T is reset as zero when the ink cartridge 32 is reloaded. Thereby, it can be inhibited that the sedimentation of color material contained in the ink in the ink cartridge 32 advances too much. When the printing is performed, the amount of ink to be delivered is corrected based on the elapsed time since the reloading of the ink cartridge 32, and then a printing head 34 is actuated.
