To reduce the size of a print head of a printer which can eject light-shielding ink.
The printer performs printing by relatively scanning a printing head 250 in a main scanning direction or a sub-scanning direction with respect to a printing medium. The printing head 250 includes color ink nozzle rows 244-247 in which a plurality of nozzles ejecting color inks are arranged in the sub-scanning direction, a first light-shielding ink nozzle row 248 in which a plurality of nozzles ejecting light-shielding inks are arranged in the sub-scanning direction, and a second light-shielding ink nozzle row 249 in which a plurality of nozzles ejecting light-shielding inks are arranged in the sub-scanning direction, and which is different from the first light-shielding ink nozzle row 248. The first light-shielding ink nozzle row 248 is formed at a position overlapping with the color ink nozzle rows 244-247 in the main scanning direction. The second light-shielding ink nozzle row 249 is formed at a position which does not overlap with the color ink nozzle rows 244-247 in the main scanning direction.
