Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can suppress wrinkles when heating treatment is performed to a recording medium that has performed printing.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 100 prints image data. In order to dry the image printed on a sheet 9, a control unit 1 controls a drying part 4 at heat temperature set for preventing a cockling phenomenon in accordance with a data analysis of the image data. The control unit 1 determines with respect to a condition shown in a wrinkle occurrence table T whether or not there is an area that can be subjected to cockling in accordance with the image data and sets heating temperature of drying processing so as to suppress occurrences of cockling from image density confirmed. As a result, heat quantity added to an area where there is a large amount of printing and a sheet part at the boundary becomes small. Extreme differences in moisture evaporation from the respective areas do not appear and cockling can be prevented from occurring. Thus, deformation of the sheet 9 is preventable.
