Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which a paper roll does not easily jump out of a paper storage part even when an impact is applied from outside.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: a paper storage part 9 for storing a paper roll; an opening/closing cover 13 capable of opening/closing the paper storage part 9; a worm wheel 30 that can rotate in conjunction with the rotation of the opening/closing cover 13; a worm that engages directly with the worm wheel 30; and a left side roll holding part 68 provided at the right end part of the worm. When the opening/closing cover 13 in an open position is rotated to a closed position, the left side roll holding part 68 moves to right through the worm wheel 30 and the worm, and holds the paper roll. Since the rotation of the opening/closing cover 13 is structured so as to be decelerated by the worm wheel 30 and the worm, the worm wheel 30 does not easily make a reverse rotation from the worm.
