Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic label printer which improves quality of a printing image by stably supplying a rolled medium.SOLUTION: A label printer 1 temporarily increases the circumferential speed of a conveyance roller 32 more than the circumferential speed of a register roller 33 in order to form a slack 14 (loop) in a medium 10 when the medium 10 reaches the register roller 33 in the conveyance direction, temporarily stops rotation of the conveyance roller 32 in order to cut the medium 10 with a cutter unit 34, controls the stopped conveyance roller 32 to rotate again, and guides the slack 14 of the medium 10 so as to have a first inclined portion 14a going upward as positioned on the downstream side from the conveyance roller 32 and a second inclined portion 14b continuous to the first inclined portion 14a and going downward as positioned on the register roller 33 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
