Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which it is difficult to determine the necessity of an attachment for an envelop and the type of an attachment to be used when printing is performed on an envelope.SOLUTION: A printer and its control method for transporting an envelope set in a paper feeding part and performing printing on the envelope store information indicating the necessity of an attachment in the paper feeding part in association with the type of the envelop set in the paper feeding part and the feeding direction of the envelope, determine the necessity of the attachment for the envelope in the paper feeding part by referring to the stored information when the type and the feeding direction of the envelope to be used in a job are indicated, and perform display of urging mounting of the attachment to the paper feeding part when determining that the attachment is needed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
