Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that can surely require input of information by which characteristics of consumable supplies which cannot be confirmed to be conformable supplies appropriate for use in an own device.SOLUTION: In a case where a general-purpose ink cartridge 34 mounted on a refilling part 32 has ink information of a pure ink cartridge 34 copied to a memory 34b of an IC tag 34a and has a conversion circuit, which converts ink information of a general-purpose ink cartridge in the memory 34b into the ink information of the pure ink cartridge, added thereto, a control portion 10 detects the ink cartridges 34 by comparing the information with lastly acquired ink information, by comparing inherent information determined from acquired fixed information and variable information with acquired inherent information, or by comparing the information with ink information acquired in the past, and inhibits supply of ink from the ink cartridge 34 to an ink circulating portion 31 and requires input of ink information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
