Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a rear blank portion at a fixed length regardless of the level of temperature.SOLUTION: A tape printer 1 includes: a platen roller 182; a thermal head 16; a motor 402 which generates the driving force for conveyance by the platen roller 182; a motor drive circuit 401 which performs electric conduction to the motor 402; a CPU 400 which controls the electric conduction by the motor drive circuit 401; a transistor circuit 450 which short-circuits the positive electrode side and negative electrode side of the motor 402 in a state where electric conduction is stopped by the control of the CPU 400 with respect to the motor drive circuit 401 and performs braking; and a temperature sensor SE which detects the temperature of the ambient environment. The CPU 400 controls the transistor circuit 450 in accordance with the temperature detected by the temperature sensor SE and controls the operation mode of braking by the short-circuit to be variable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
