Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make force for contacting a thermal head with recording media equal over the whole area in a main scanning direction by easy operation regardless of differences in a width dimension of the recording media.SOLUTION: The printer is configured to comprise a position fixing mechanism 408 which fixes a position of a holding member 409 in a main scanning direction by engaging a second engagement member 508 provided in a singular holding member 409, which can move along the main scanning direction while holding an energizing member 501 positioned at the opposite side of a platen 206 across a thermal head 209 arranged to oppose to the platen 206, with any of a plurality of first engagement members 507 provided in a guide rail 505 provided along a movement locus of the holding member 409.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
