Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of easily switching between a state that a support part for supporting a roll widthwise is allowed to move and a state that movement is regulated.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a body part 2 that has an accommodation part 24 for receiving a roll on which a printing medium is wound; a cover 3 that covers to open and close an aperture of the accommodation part 24; a pair of support parts that are provided in the accommodation part 24 and support both sides of the roll; a lock member 5 that is provided in the pair of support parts and arranged in a lock position to regulate the movement of the support part in a state that the cover 3 is closed and arranged in an unlock position not to regulate the movement of the support part in a state that the cover 3 is opened; and an engaging part that the lock member 5 is allowed to engage. The lock member 5 is, in a state that the cover 3 is opened, arranged in the unlock position spaced from the engaging part, and abuts on the cover in a process where the cover 3 closes from the open state, so that it is switched from the unlock position into the lock position engaged with the engaging part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
