Abstract:
To provide a printer adapted to prevent a great force from acting on a communication tag provided on an inner periphery of a roll body.SOLUTION: A printer comprises a medium holding unit that holds a roll body on which a communication tag is provided in a longitudinal predetermined position on an inner periphery of a support member over which a strip-formed printing medium is wound. The medium holding unit has a medium holding shaft that abuts against the inner periphery of the support member and holds the roll body rotatably and a push force-reduction portion that is provided in a position facing the communication tag axially of the medium holding shaft so that a force acting with the support member is smaller than the medium holding shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
