Abstract:
To provide a printer including a platen gap adjustment mechanism which prevents incorrect assembly and achieves space saving.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a print head which prints on print mediums; a carriage shaft which supports a carriage equipped with the print head; a frame unit having a first frame provided at one end of the carriage shaft and a second frame provided at the other end of the carriage shaft; a platen facing the print head; a first cam which is rotatably attached to the first frame and adjusts a position of the carriage shaft relative to the first frame; and a second cam which is rotatably attached to the second frame and adjusts a position of the carriage shaft relative to the second frame. The first frame has a first attachment part which rotatably supports the first cam, and the second frame has a second attachment part which rotatably supports the second cam. When the first cam is attached to the second frame, the first cam cannot adjust a position of the carriage shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
