Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having mounting structure for carrying out easily the mounting work for a printing cartridge without damaging a printing head.
SOLUTION: A printing cartridge 5 integrated with a printing head 4 is mounted on a cartridge 3 moving slidably along a slide axis in a printer, and the printer is provided with a first engaging protrusion 5a and a second engaging protrusion protruded respectively above and below both sides 3a in the main scanning direction of the printing cartridge 5, a stationary section 3d of the shape for fitting the second protrusion and placing the same in the stationary state formed below both sides 3a in the main scanning direction of the cartridge 3 and a control section 3e provided with the shape of controlling the idle movement of the first engaging protrusion 5a to the downward side in the state of fitting second engaging protrusion on the stationary section 3d while guiding the same and formed on the upper ends of both sides 3a in the main scanning direction of the cartridge 3a.
