Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which saves data of a memory by self-refreshing processing, and starts up the device in a short time by performing device startup using data stored in the memory when the device recovers from a sleeping state.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: a first storage unit which stores a control program of the printing device; a second storage unit which is connected with a sub power supply performing power supply when the device is in a sleeping state, and in which the control program stored in the first storage unit is written; a gate array which is connected with the sub power supply and causes the second storage unit to perform self-refreshing processing for saving the stored control program, when the device is in the sleeping state; and a control unit which performs control of the device by reading out the control program saved in the second storage unit but not the control program stored in the first storage unit, when the device recovers from the sleeping state.
