PURPOSE: To allow the faithful reproduction of inputted video signals by providing a frequency characteristic correcting circuit behind a memory.

CONSTITUTION: The frequency characteristic correcting circuit 7 which references the video data of one dot before in a scanning line direction and corrects the level of the video data by the change rate of two pieces of the video data before sending the video data to a printer driving section 6 from the memory 4 is provided. The inputted video signals are corrected in the distortions of the waveform by the high-frequency characteristics before the signals are sent from the memory 4 to the printer driving section 6 by this constitution. The video signals are reproduced to the video data faithful to the original signals in this way.
