The use number of the recording sheets in a printer is set to the passing number P of the sheets to be accumulated (steps S1, S2) and, when the confirmation command of the passing number of the sheets is received (step S3), the passing number of the sheets per a month is calculated to be transmitted to a host computer (steps S4-S8) and the calculated value is displayed on a display (step S9).
