Title:
PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1016350
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To realize stable traveling even though an irregularity such as a difference in steps or the like exists in a slide part by a method wherein a printer is equipped with a slide part which comes in freely slidable contact with a surface of a print medium pressor component provided at one end part of a carriage and of which both end parts are freely slidable to the carriage in a scanning transfer direction of one end part.

Notch-like engaging parts 43 are respectively formed on both sides of a lower end part of a carriage 29 along its scanning direction, and a pair of bending parts 46 capable of being respectively engaged in a movable fit state with the engaging parts 43 are formed at both end parts of a slide plate 45 abutting on a slide guide part 44. Further, a support point part 47 protruded from the lower end surface of the carriage 29 abuts against a central part of the slide plate 45. That is, the slide plate 45 is supported with the engaging part 43 of a carriage 29 via a bent part 45, and a bent part 46 can be alternately vertically moved in the engaging part 43 centring the support point 47. Though a difference in level part 48 is generated, the slide plate 45 tilts so as to follow a surface of the slide guide part 44, and the carriage 29 travels stably.
