PURPOSE: To eliminate the skew of the paper end SW by a lever and a paper guide by fixing plural paper guides at an equal distance from left and right end portions according to the size of the paper at the paper rest.
CONSTITUTION: A paper 15 is sent into a paper guide 4 and a guide 12 by an automatic paper feeder. The same resistance as the resistance to be given to the paper 15 by the paper guide 1 is given at symmetrical positions by the paper guide 12. The paper 15 is sent to a tapered pan 6, where the end 7A of a lever 7 is pressed by the paper 15, and the key 10A of a paper end switch 10 is pressed by the other end 7B to turn the paper end switch 10 ON. The paper 15 is wound around a platen 2 and printed by a printing head 9. The paper 15 so printed is further moved, and when it passes through the end 7A of the lever 7, the pressing of the paper 15 on the lever 7 is released. The paper can thus be fed without causing any skew.
