PURPOSE: To enable printing even on a top part of a printing paper, by a construction wherein paper-feeding balls to be brought into contact with the printing paper on a platen are rollably incorporated in a paper guide at positions corresponding to a line for printing by a printing head.

CONSTITUTION: Paper-feeding balls 5 spherical in shape and capable of being rotated in any arbitrary direction are incorporated in a paper guide 3 at positions for making contact with a printing paper 6 in the same line as the line for recording information on the paper by a printing head 1. As long as the paper 8 is present on the front side of the printing head 1, the paper 8 can be fed in the column direction, so that printing can be performed on a top part of the paper 8.
