Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus having a printing plate supply device provided in its plate cylinder and easily charging a printing plate in the plate cylinder even when there is no work space at the peripheral surface side of the plate cylinder.
SOLUTION: A guide member capable of inserting a printing plate cassette in the plate cylinder 1 in a slidable manner along the axial direction of the plate cylinder 1 is provided to the cylinder groove 20 formed to the plate cylinder 1 and an operator can load the plate cylinder with the printing plate axially through a side plate opening part 6a and an end surface opening part 20b. A leading end holding means 70 for holding the leading end of the loaded printing plate is provided outside the plate cylinder 1 and the plate cylinder is rotated in such a state that the printing plate is held y the leading end holding means 70 not only to develop the printing plate but also to allow the leading end holing means 70 to fall with respect to a taking-up shaft to mount the leading end of the printing plate. By this constitution, the loading or mounting of the printing plate can be easily performed.
