Abstract:

To provide a system for avoiding the execution of post processing unintended by a user with respect to a paper sheet bundle containing a slip sheet indicating a position where recovery is executed.

A printing apparatus includes: a determination means for determining whether the printing apparatus makes state transition from a state of interrupting the print processing to a state that the print processing can be resumed; a slip sheet inserting means for inserting a slip sheet between a paper sheet discharged when the determination unit determines that the state of the printing apparatus is transited to a state that the print processing can be resumed, and a paper sheet newly discharged after the determination; a setting means for configuring a slip sheet inserting mode that determines whether to execute the insertion of the slip sheet by the slip sheet inserting means; and a control means for permitting, according to the configuration of the slip sheet inserting mode, the execution of either the first processing of canceling a post processing mode to start the insertion of the slip sheet by the slip sheet inserting means, or the second processing of starting print processing based on the post processing mode without executing the insertion of the slip sheet by the slip sheet inserting means, when the determination means determines that the state of the printing apparatus is transited to the state that the print processing can be resumed.
