The printing apparatus includes the block forming body 1 that forms a rewritable block, a latent image forming section 3, a convex portion forming section 4 that selectively attaches particles to a portion where a latent image is formed on a surface of the block forming body 1 to form a convex portion, a recording material supplying section 5, an intermediate transfer body 8 that transfers a recording material, a pressing section 10 that performs pressing when the recording material on the surface of the intermediate transfer body 8 is transferred to a recoded medium 11, and a carrying means that carries the recorded medium 11, and the printer uses the block in which surfaces of the particles have properties that repels the recording material and a surface of the block forming body has property that does not repel the recording material, and further has a section 50 that applies a voltage to the recording material supplying section 5.
