Japanese Patent JP2011156700
Kind Code:

To accurately position an ink ribbon even when a thermal head is returned from a retreat position to a print position.

The ribbon cage 254 is positioned in a rotating direction while the positioning pin 254a is fitted in a notch formed at a front end of a positioning plate 257c. The ribbon cage 254 is positioned by a route of a platen roller 262, a frame 11, a head pressing member oscillation shaft 257A, a head pressing member 257 and the positioning pin 254a. A relative position between the thermal head 260 and the ribbon cage 254 can be made high in accuracy.
