Abstract:
To determine whether printing can be performed or not in accordance with information related to staining of a face to be printed, and to decrease waste of a medium to be printed.
When a printing starting signal is inputted from a PC 70, a printer detects the staining of the face Pa to be printed of a printing paper P by a media sensor before a printing is performed by a recording head, analyzes the information related to the staining by a staining analyzing part, and determines whether the printing on the face Pa to be printed can be performed or not based on the analysis result by a printing possibility determining part.
