Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-cutting apparatus which is compact and is freely selectable for use in automatic cutting and manual cutting.
SOLUTION: In a cutting mechanism set above a platen 8, a motor 37 rotates in an automatic mode, thereby rotating a scissors cam 46 together with a pin 46b via a worm gear 38, a worm wheel 39, a small-diameter gear 40, a deceleration gear 41, a spur gear 43, bevel gears 42, 44, a one way 45 and a cam shaft 47. The pin 46b pulls up a rotary arm 52b when rotated half, and rotates a rotary blade 52a towards a fixed blade 55, thereby cutting a printed tape. The pin 46b returns the blade 52 to a reference position when rotated the remaining half. In a manual mode, a rack gear 58 lowered when pressed by a push button 14 is meshed with a gear 48 under the guidance of a guide groove 59, rotating once the scissors cam 46 together with the pin 46b via the cam shaft 47. When the pressing is released, the rack gear is moved up by an urging force of a compression spring 57 and freed from the meshing with the gear 48 under the guidance of the guide groove 59.
