Abstract:
To provide a printing cassette which can be downsized, while rotation of the cassette accompanying input of driving force is limited.SOLUTION: The present disclosure is a printing cassette which can be attached to and removed from a printer body. The printing cassette includes a case for housing a printing tape roll, an input gear which is rotatable about a rotational axis parallel to a first direction, and an output gear. The case has: an opening wall defining a head opening into which a head holding part is inserted; and a first protrusion which protrudes from the opening wall into the head opening, and faces the head holding part in a second direction in a state that the printing cassette is mounted to a printer body. In a state that the printing cassette is mounted to a printer body, the input gear engages with a drive shaft at a position different from that of a first protrusion in a third direction, whereas the output gear engages with a platen gear, and a virtual plane including a rotational axis of the platen gear and a rotational axis of the output gear is orthogonal to the second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
