Abstract:
To solve the problem in which, if a printing apparatus having only a low-capacity storage device performs hold printing for a large amount, print data bodies to which a deletion instruction has been issued may remain in and strain a storage area thereby deteriorating the processing speed of functions using the storage area.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus has a function of deleting print data bodies in a box area at a time different from when a deletion instruction for print data is issued. If the number of print data to which the deletion instruction has been issued is equal to or greater than a prescribed number, the printing apparatus is brought into an off-line state and a prescribed number of print data bodies are deleted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
