Abstract:
To provide a printing device that can easily decorate and print all characters that a code point indicates.SOLUTION: The printing device comprises a printing part, and a control part that can select a first coding method as a coding method that is used in printing. When the first coding method is selected, the control part, when receiving a first type-character decoration command to specify a character decoration to a first-kind of character and when printing a string of characters including both of the first kind of character and a second kind of character different from the first kind of character, makes the printing part perform printing of the string of characters in which the character decoration specified by the first type- character decoration command is applied to both of the first kind of character and the second kind of character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
