Abstract:
To provide a printing device configured to suppress noise such as printing sound from leaking out.SOLUTION: The printing device comprises: an insertion/ejection port through which a printing medium is inserted into and the printing medium is ejected; a conveying part that conveys the printing medium; a printing part that performs printing on the printing medium by protruding a plurality of wires; a shielding/opening part, positioned between the printing part and the insertion/ejection port, which shields and opens at least a portion of a passage through which the printing medium is conveyed between the insertion/ejection port and the printing part; and a control part. The control part makes the shielding/opening part shield the at least the portion of the passage, when the printing part performs printing on the printing medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
