Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more stably discharge ink droplets from a nozzle in the case of performing ink jet printing.SOLUTION: A printing device performing ink jet printing comprises an ink jet head 12 which discharges ink droplets and a drive signal output part which outputs a drive signal for making the ink jet head 12 discharge the ink droplets. The ink jet head 12 comprises: a nozzle 102 which discharges the ink droplets; an ink chamber 104 in which a hole communicating with the nozzle 102 is formed on any surface, which has an opening on a position different from the hole, and which stores ink to be supplied to the nozzle 102 at the front stage of the nozzle 102; a thin film 108 which covers the opening of the ink chamber 104; and a piezoelectric element 106 which applies pressure to the ink chamber 104 by being displaced in accordance with the drive signal. The main surface of the piezoelectric element 106 is arranged on the thin film 108 in a manner along the thin film 108.
