Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a printing tape certainly without cutting the printing tape halfway by stopping the print by a printing head when movement of a cutting blade is detected by a detection switch.
SOLUTION: A detection switch 99 is disposed in common lines connected with a CPU 110 for a printer controller 120 and a motor driver 122. The detection switch 99 detects the state of use of a cutting mechanism. In the case the cutting mechanism is about to be used during execution of printing, the detection switch 99 is operated so as to stop the operation of a printer part 50B immediately. At the time, since a signal is transmitted from the CPU 110 to the printer controller 120 and the motor driver 122 continuously, if the use of the cutting mechanism is prevented, the printing operation is continued. Accordingly, the printing tape can be cut certainly without cutting the printing tape halfway.
