To make it possible to easily investigate a cause of a printing hindrance by analyzing a page descriptive language data when the printing hindrance occurs as to a printing device which makes plate of a master based on the page descriptive language data transmitted from PC and prints using the master.

A printing device comprises an HDD which houses a page descriptive language data transmitted from a data forming station, a display section which displays the page descriptive language data housed in the HDD and a display means for displaying the page descriptive language data housed in the HDD on the display section. When a printing hindrance occurs, the page descriptive language data displays by the display means on the display section by a predetermined indicating operation of an operator. The cause of the printing hindrance can be investigated rapidly by the operator's observation of the page descriptive language data displayed on the display section.
