Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that can be improved in usability by executing proper processing in accordance with a state of a lengthy medium to be conveyed when conveying the lengthy medium.SOLUTION: A printing device 10 is equipped with: a printing head 33 that performs printing on a sheet conveyed to a downstream side in a conveying direction from a hopper 61; an insertion part 15 that guides a roll sheet P2 fed out from a roll sheet unit 20 to the hopper 61; and a roll sheet detecting sensor SE3 that detects the roll sheet P2 which passes through the insertion part 15. A control device of the printing device 10 determines whether or not a rear end of the roll sheet P2 is passing through the insertion part 15 at predetermined acquisition timing on the basis of a detection result by the roll sheet detecting sensor SE3, and starts processing responding to the determination result after the acquisition timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
