Abstract:
To provide a printing device that can reduce the risk that stability of operation deteriorates, when executing printing processing to a medium including calcium carbonate.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: printing means that performs printing on a medium including calcium carbonate; conveying means that rotates and drives a conveying belt constituting at least a portion of a conveyance passage on which the medium is conveyed; voltage supply means that supplies electrifying voltages to an electrifying roller that electrifies the conveying belt; detecting means that detects whether abnormal electrification is occurring in the conveying belt or not; and determining means that determines whether an abnormality is occurring in the voltage supply means, whether an abnormality is occurring in the conveying belt and whether abnormalities are not occurring in the voltage supply means and the conveying belt based on the amount of rotation of the conveying belt and a result of detection performed by the detecting means, where the conveying belt is coated with melamine resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
