PURPOSE: To remove anxiety for clogging a nozzle by a method wherein an ink drop discharged from an ink discharging port is accelerated with a gas current containing water vapour in a printing device which records by discharging the ink drop.

CONSTITUTION: Water vapour generated with a water vapour generator 104 is sent to a head 101 through a water vapour feed passage, and is always jetted from a water vapour discharge port 106. An ink discharge port is established in opposition to the water vapour discharge port, and ink is discharged from this ink discharge port 107 by vibration of a piezo-electric element 110 to be fragmented into ink drops. They are accelerated by a water vapour gas current jetted always from the water vapour discharge port and fly to recording paper. If only the ink drop is generated, ink discharge with the piezo-electric element is enough, and is satisfied by less force by being compared with the force in the case where the ink drop is transported to a surface of the paper only by the force of the piezo-electric element. Humidity in the water vapour chamber 108 where water vapour flows is almost 100%, and both drying of ink and clogging of a nozzle are removed.
