In a state of validation paper 7 set in a paper insertion part 6 in its tip end, the printing head 1 is moved linearly from a position of the paper insertion part 6 to a predetermined position in the rightward direction. In this instance, a paper pressing head pin 8 is elected so as to retain validation paper 7 in a state of being pressed to the platen 9 side by the paper pressing head pin 8. Thus, the validation paper 7 is drawn automatically in a predetermined position in association with the movement of the printing head 1.
