Abstract:
To provide a printer which quickly detects abnormality when a sheet printed with an image is wound.SOLUTION: A printer includes a print part that prints an image on a sheet, a spool member that winds the sheet discharged from the print part in a roll shape, a holding part that holds the spool member, a driving mechanism that rotationally drives the spool member held by the holding part, and a driven body which is rotated around a rotation axis and follows an outer diameter of the sheet wound by the spool member; and includes a measurement instrument that measures displacement or an angle of the driven body when the sheet is wound, and a control part that acquires an output value of the measurement instrument while rotating the spool member and stops rotation of the spool member when the output value is outside a predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
