Title:
PRINTING INK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3785226
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesiveness of radiation-curable printing ink to a hard-to- print substrate such as a coextrusion oriented polypropylene by adding a specific titanium or zirconium compound.
SOLUTION: This printing ink is obtained by adding a titanium or zirconium compound which is an alkoxide of an unsaturated alcohol as an adhesion accelerator, preferably a compound of the formula (RO)4X [R is a (substituted)alkenyl; X is Ti or Zr] to a radiation curable printing ink. The radiation curable printing ink contains a polymerizable composition containing at least one kind of a monomer and pigment or dye (preferably UV active coating) and the polymerizable composition can be polymerized by irradiation of radiation.
