Title:
PRINTING INTAGLIO STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0373391
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable clear printing to be performed even when a printing line is extremely thin by a method wherein a projection part at a bottom part of a printing line groove of an intaglio printing plate to be used when a stripe like printing line is printed is intermittently formed.

CONSTITUTION: When a doctor 4 is slid in a longitudinal direction of a printing line groove 11, surface tension to be generated between an edge part of the doctor 4 and printing ink (r) likely to remain in the printing line groove 11 acts on the printing ink (r) as pulling force in a slide direction of the doctor 4. Since two lines of projection parts 12, of for instance, 5μm in height are arranged in parallel at a pitch of 50μm over total length of a bottom part of the printing line groove 11, a flow of the printing ink (r) is effectively stopped. An enough amount of ink (r) remains stably in the printing line groove 11 and wet ink (r') pulled out on a surface of a printing plate 1 at a left end part of the printing line groove 11 is extremely small amount. The printing ink (r) is transferred in a good state to a surface of a glass substrate 6, and clear red printing lines 1r are in parallel at an interval of 200μm formed by printing.
