Abstract:
To improve printing quality by surely drying a varnish-coated surface at an optimum temperature.
This water-based varnish drying equipment of a printing machine is provided with a heating device 31 for heating paper S, a cooling device 32 for cooling the paper S and an exhausting device 33 for exhausting air in the machine, and also provided with a first temperature sensor 51 which measures a first paper surface temperature of the paper S before it is conveyed to the heating device 31. A control device 34 controls outputs of IR irradiation units 35 and 36 in the heating device 31 so that the first paper surface temperature obtained from the first temperature sensor 51 shows a first prescribed temperature required for drying the varnish.
