Abstract:
To reduce costs due to manpower saving of operators so as to execute a cleanup work in a printer and a cleanup method of the printer.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a paper feeding device which supplies a web; a printing device which performs printing on the web; a web pass device which vertically cuts and overlaps the printed web and changes a conveyance path and a path length; a folding machine which forms a fold section by transversely cutting after vertically folding the vertically cut and overlapped web; a guide roller cleaning device which cleans a guide roller arranged in the web pass device; a cutting device which cuts the web between the paper feeding device and the printing device; and a control device which conveys the web at a slow speed to be lower than a printing speed when a start signal for starting a cleanup work after finishing printing is input and operates the guide roller cleaning device so as to operate the cutting device after the lapse of a preset predetermined prescribed time from the operation start of the guide roller cleaning device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
