PURPOSE: To print a metal plate by a flaw-free gravure printing method by forcibly pushing ink into a cell and making the temp. of the outer surface of a plate cylinder at this time higher than by 20°C or more than the temp. of the supplied ink.
CONSTITUTION: Ink is forcibly pushed in the cells of the outer surface of a plate cylinder and the temp. of the outer surface of the plate cylinder at this time is made higher by 20°C or more than the temp. of the supplied ink. The forcible pushing-in of the ink to the cells may be performed, for example, by pressing a fountain roll to the plate cylinder or injecting the ink in the cells. By this method, the beneficial points such that an apparatus is simple, maintenance and handling technique are easy, printing is sharp, the generation of a printing inferior metal plate accompanied by the trouble of the apparatus is almost eliminated even in coil printing and a spoilage plate becomes unnecessary possessed by a gravure printing method can be given.
