Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain the high speed of printing by doubling the number of vertical lines to be printing-processed in one frame period in a color video printer. CONSTITUTION: The picture elements in two lines in a vertical direction of the output signal of an A/D converter 12 are successively sampling-processed by a pulse generated by gating a prescribed clock signal by a sampling pulse generating part 23 under the control of a line memory controlling part 27, and written in a line memory 16a in the printing of one frame. Then, picture elements in the next two lines are written in a line memory 16b, the picture elements in the memory 16a are read, and printing-processed through a half-tone converting part 19 and a thermal printing head TPH 20. Then, the reading of the 16b and the writing of the 16a is operated, and this is alternately repeated in the frame cycle. Thus, a time required for printing a static picture of one frame can be reduced to 112 compared with printing by one line, and the printing operation can be attained at a high speed.
