To uniformly and easily execute excellent printing on all the printing surface of a matter to be printed such as a synthetic resin plate such as an optical disk by supplying charge in a state where an electrode connected to a power source device is brought into contact with a side surface with respect to the surface to be printed of the matter to be printed at the time of transferring toner on a transfer medium to the matter to be printed.
A conductive napped sheet 52 is connected to power source device 53 and doubly arranged inside and outside as an electrode on the disk receiver part of a carrying table 51 in order to supply the charge to the side surface of a disk (end faces on the outer and inner periphery sides of the disk). The sheet 52 is brought into contact with the side surface with respect to the surface to be printed of the disk and supplies the charge having a reverse polarity to that of the toner to the surface to be printed through the side surface. As a result, a toner image imparted to a transfer belt 15 is electrostatically transferred to the disk. The charge is directly supplied to the surface to be printed in a contact system through the side surface of the disk. The sufficient charge required to transfer the toner image is supplied to all the surface to be printed of the disk regardless of the thickness of a disk base plate.
