To provide a printing method which does not generate inferiority in forming an image even in the case of exposing on a press since a stable and good press developing property in the case of using a printing plate material of a press developing type, can be secured.

The printing method is featured to carry out printing at least by the following steps (a) to (f) in the printing method having a layer at least a part of which can be removed by dampening water or ink on the press. The (a) step is attaching the printing plate material to a plate cylinder of the press. The (b) step is printing (including a step for making the printing plate material a printing plate). The (c) step is cleaning a surface of a blanket cylinder by using cleaning liquid. The (d) step is drying a surface of the blanket cylinder. The (e) step is discharging the printing plate before or after the step (c) or (d), or simultaneously with the step (c) or (d). The (f) step is attaching a new printing plate material to the plate cylinder of the press.
