Abstract:
To provide a printing technique that can reduce malodors.SOLUTION: A printing method includes: a printing step for discharging UV-curable ink (31a) to a printed material, which is a medium (Me), for printing; and an ink curing step for irradiating the ink (31a) discharged to the medium (Me) in the printing step with ultraviolet rays to cure the ink (31a). In the curing step, an integrated quantity of light per unit area incident on the medium (Me) is 222 mJ/cm2 or more. Preferably, the UV irradiation time in the curing step is 0.276 seconds or longer, and peak illuminance is 0.6 W/cm2 or more. Still more preferably, the ink curing step is followed by a heating step for heating the medium (Me) with the ink (31a) cured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
